THIS LOBSTER LIKE CRUSTACEAN IS FOUND IN THE COLD WATERS OF CHILE. THIS IS A MEMBER OF THE CRAB FAMILY, WITH A TEXTURE LIKE A SHRIMP AND IT RESEMBLES A CRAWFISH. THE FLAVOR IS MORE LIKE THAT OF A LOBSTER OR CRAB. THE EDIBLE SECTION OF THE LANGOSTINO IS FOUND IN A 1 INCH SECTION OF THE TAIL. NOT TYPICALLY SOLD AS WHOLE, BUT NEARLY ALWAYS SOLD AS COOKED TAIL MEAT SECTIONS.
