Mar 7, 2019 | From Water
GULF SHRIMP CAN BE BROWN, WHITE OR PINK. THE WHITE IS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN BROWN. THE COLORS CAN BE VERY CLOSE; HOWEVER, BROWNS HAVE A GROOVE IN THE LAST TAIL SECTION. PINKS AND WHITE ARE FLAVORFUL WHILE THE BROWNS TEND TO BE BLAND AND SOMETIMES HAVE A HINT OF IODINE. THEY ARE FOUND IN THE WARM WATERS OFF THE SOUTHEASTERN UNITED STATES AND THE GULF OF MEXICO.
