THE CHUM ARE LESS FLAVORFUL BUT VERY MEATY AND FIRM. THEIR FLESH IS PINKER/ORANGE THAN OTHER SALMON, OFTEN PALER IN COMPARISON. ALL PACIFIC SALMON ARE BORN IN FRESHWATER, LIVE THEIR LIVES IN SALTWATER AND RETURN TO THE FRESHWATERS TO SPAWN, THIS IS CALLED ANADROMOUS.
